What are Pre-Queued Messages?
Pre-Queued Messages are texts that you and your team have physically tapped to send, but haven't actually been delivered to the recipients phone yet. Enabling this feature allows you to put in all the time and work required to send messages prior to when you want them to actually be sent out and then have them delivered automatically all at once within a time window you set.
How can I Pre-Queue messages?
Step 1: Enable flag to queue messages
Select the message you want to queue messages for. Then click on the dropdown menu at the top right titled 'Options: 3 available' and enable the flag titled 'Queue messages to send during the specified period of time.'
Step 2: Send out your messages
Enabling the queue flag tells our system to queue all of the messages you send for that particular message. You don't need to specify a time yet, because once you set the time window you want your messages to go out, that time window is automatically for the next day.
Step 3: Specify the time you want your messages to go out
Once you enable the queue flag, you will notice a field appear at the bottom of your screen that says, 'Only send messages during this period of time.' Set the time window you want your messages to go out after you have sent your messages. Be aware that when you set the time window and click 'Save,' you are telling our system that you want all of the messages you queued to go out during that time window the following day.
For example, if I set up a message on Wednesday and wanted to queue them to be sent out between 9am-12pm Saturday, I would setup my message, enable the queue flag, send my messages, and then on Friday I would go in and specify the time window of 9am-12pm. You must wait until the day before you want your messages to go out to set your time window.
Also, remember to be careful when setting your time zone from the dropdown.
Keep in mind that pre-queueing messages is different from outsourcing them. Pre-queuing means that your team does all the sending, and then schedules the messages to go out when you want them to. Outsourcing the sending means that you coordinate with our team on when you want your messages to be sent, and we have our team of Agents send your messages live within the time window you specify.
